Today we went to la Sierra de Francia mountains. First, we visited the town of La Alberca. La Alberca looks like a medieval village tucked away in the mountains.

There is a pig running loose in La Alberca. All summer the people feed it as it wanders around town. In January during the festival of San Antón, they kill it and share the meat.

| This is a small altar dedicated to the souls in purgatory. There are 2 human skulls on each side. |
 |
| Every night at dusk in La Alberca, an older lady called "la moza de ánimas" walks the streets. At each street corner she stops and rings a bell, and recites the "plegaria", which reads: "Faithful Christians let us remember the blessed souls in Purgatory, with an Our Father and a Hail Mary for the love of God.Another Our Father and another Hail Mary for those that are in mortal sin so that his divine Majesty removes them from their miserable state". |
